Hood Secondary Latch Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Open the hood.
2. Remove the front section of the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (Service and Repair) .




3. Disconnect the secondary hood latch cable (1) from the hood latch.
4. Remove the bolts (2) attaching the secondary hood latch (3) from the front panel.
5. Remove the secondary latch.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the secondary latch (3) to the front panel.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

2. Install the bolts (2) attaching the secondary latch (3) to the front panel.

Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

3. Connect the secondary latch cable (1) to the hood latch.
4. Install the front section of the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (Service and Repair) .
5. Close the hood.
