Instrument Panel Compartment Door Lock Striker Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Open the instrument panel (I/P) compartment door.
2. Remove the retaining screws from the striker on the underside of the I/P carrier.
3. Remove the striker from the I/P.



Installation Procedure





1. Align the striker to the I/P, placing the striker ends at the holes in the underside of the I/P carrier.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

2. Install the striker retaining screws.

Tighten the screws to 1.9 N.m (17 lb in).

3. Close the I/P compartment door and verify the operation of the latch to the striker.
