Hood Hinge Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Open the hood.
2. Using a wax pencil, mark the location of the upper and lower hood hinge on the underside of the hood and on the front structure.
3. Remove the hood. Refer to Hood Replacement (Service and Repair) .




4. Remove the bolts (2) securing the lower hood hinge (1) to the front structure.
5. Remove the hood hinge (1) from the front structure.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the hood hinge (1) to the front structure.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

2. Install the bolts (2) securing the lower hood hinge (1) to the front structure.

Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

3. Install the hood to the vehicle. Refer to Hood Replacement (Service and Repair) .
