Hood Bumper Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Open the hood.




2. Remove the adjustable front hood bumpers (1) from the vehicle.
3. Remove the front hood bumpers (2) from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the front hood bumpers (2) to the vehicle.
2. Install the adjustable front hood bumpers (1) to the vehicle.
3. Adjust the front hood bumpers (1) so that the hood is flush with the fenders.
4. After the adjustment is performed, a sufficient load must remain on the front hood bumpers to eliminate hood flutter. This can be achieved by lowering the hood latch an additional 4 mm (1/8 in), for front flutter.
5. Close the hood.
