HVAC Control Module Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Disconnect the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the I/P accessory trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement (Service and Repair) .
3. Remove the HVAC control module retaining screws.
4. Remove the HVAC control module.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the HVAC control module to the I/P trim plate.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice .
2. Install the HVAC control module retaining screws.
Tighten the screws to 1.6 N.m (14 lb in).
3. Connect the electrical connectors to the HVAC control module.
4. Install the I/P accessory trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement (Service and Repair) .
5. Connect the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Service and Repair) .
Important: Do not adjust any controls on the HVAC control module while the HVAC control module is self-calibrating. If interrupted, improper HVAC performance will result.
The engine must be running for proper calibration to occur.
6. Start and allow the engine to run for at least one minute.
