Windshield Washer Hose Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Open the hood.
2. Disconnect the washer pump hose (5) from the driver side air inlet grille.
3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair) .
Important: Ensure that the hoist is clear of the left front fender, to allow the lower fender to be moved away from the body for clearance.
4. Remove the left front wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Service and Repair) .
Important: Note the position of the fender for alignment during installation.
5. Remove the left front lower wheelhouse splash shield fasteners (1, 2, 3) at the rear of the wheelhouse.
Important: When replacing the washer output hose from the cowl grille to the pump, route the hose down towards the washer container, ensuring that the hose rubber grommet is seated in the pass-through hole in the body.
6. Disconnect the washer pump output hose (4) by twisting the hose away from the washer pump.
Installation Procedure
1. Connect the washer pump outlet hose (4) to the pump (3).
2. Lower the vehicle.
3. Connect the upper washer hose connection (5)at the air inlet grille.
4. Inspect the operation of the pumps and the level sensor, and for leaks.
5. Align the lower fender to the body, and install the lower wheelhouse splash shield and fasteners (1, 2, 3).
6. Install the left front wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Service and Repair) .
