With RPO LY7, Engine VIN 7

Intake Manifold Installation (LY7/LP1) (3.6 L / 2.8 L)




1. Install the NEW intake manifold gasket.




2. Install the intake manifold assembly.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

Note: Tighten the intake manifold bolts in a circular pattern starting from the center and moving outward.

3. Install the intake manifold bolts and tighten to 23 Nm (17 lb ft).




4. Place the intake manifold brace to the engine front cover and intake manifold.
5. Loosely install the bolts.
6. First tighten the intake manifold brace bolt (1) to the intake manifold and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
7. Finally tighten the intake manifold brace bolt (2) to the engine front cover and tighten to 65 Nm (48 lb ft).




8. Install the EVAP solenoid.
9. Install the EVAP solenoid bolt and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in)..




10. Connect the EVAP hose to the upper intake manifold and EVAP solenoid.




11. Connect the PCV tube assembly to the upper intake manifold and the right camshaft cover.
12. Install the PCV tube assembly bracket bolts and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).




13. Install the brake booster hose to the upper intake manifold.
