Blower Motor Replacement (Right Hand Drive)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the left insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement - Left Side (Left Hand Drive) (Service and Repair)Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement - Left Side (Right Hand Drive) (Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators).
2. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement (Left Hand Drive) (Service and Repair)Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement (Right Hand Drive ) (Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators).
3. Loosen the I/P mounting bolts but do not remove, and reposition the I/P carrier to gain clearance for the blower motor removal. Refer to Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement (Left Hand Drive) (Service and Repair)Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement (Right Hand Drive ) (Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators).




4. Disconnect the blower motor electrical connector.




5. Disconnect the blower motor processor electrical connector.




6. Remove the screws (1) that retain the blower motor.




7. Remove the blower motor.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the blower motor.





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the blower motor screws (1) and tighten to 1.5 Nm (13 lb in).




3. Connect the blower motor processor electrical connector.




4. Connect the blower motor electrical connector.
5. Install the I/P compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement (Left Hand Drive) (Service and Repair)Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement (Right Hand Drive ) (Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators).
6. Install the left insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement - Left Side (Left Hand Drive) (Service and Repair)Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement - Left Side (Right Hand Drive) (Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators).
7. Install the I/P carrier mounting bolts and tighten to 25 Nm(19 lb ft). Refer to Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement (Left Hand Drive) (Service and Repair)Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement (Right Hand Drive ) (Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators)
