Intake Manifold Runner Control Solenoid Replacement (SFI) (2.8L, 3.6L)

Removal Procedure





Note: DO NOT separate the upper intake manifold from the lower intake manifold.

1. Remove the upper intake manifold with the lower intake manifold. Refer to Lower Intake Manifold Replacement (SFI) (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the intake manifold runner control solenoid bolts.
3. Remove the intake manifold runner control solenoid.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the intake manifold runner control solenoid.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the intake manifold runner control solenoid bolts and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
3. Install the upper intake manifold. Refer to Lower Intake Manifold Replacement (SFI) (Service and Repair).
