This bulletin is being revised to inform the technician to also reference Corporate Bulletin Number 09-08-64-002 to assure proper diagnosis of this condition. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 09-08-64-009A (Section 08 - Body and Accessories).

Condition

Some customers may comment that the left or right front door glass will drop down incrementally without the window switch being activated when the vehicle is running or with the ignition key in the ON position. This should not be confused with a "false reversal" which is a downward travel of the window that occurs when nearing the top of the window travel after an express up window switch activation (covered in Corporate Bulletin Number 09-08-64-002). Technicians should also reference Corporate Bulletin Number 09-08-64-002 to assure proper diagnosis of this condition.

Cause

Investigation has determined that the electronics located within the power window regulator can become unstable under certain conditions. This may allow the module to recognize unintended data as window commands.

Correction

Replace the affected power window regulator with the revised part listed below. Refer to Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement in SI.
