Discharge Hose Replacement

Discharge Hose Replacement (LSA) (6.2 L)

Removal Procedure

1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging).
2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair)
3. Remove the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement (Front Air Deflector Replacement)
4. Remove the front compartment lower noise shield. Refer to Front Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement (All Wheel Drive) (Front Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement)Front Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement (Rear Wheel Drive) (Front Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement)




5. Remove the discharge hose bolt (1) at the compressor.
6. Remove the discharge hose (2) from the compressor.




7. Remove the discharge hose bracket bolt (1) from the engine.




8. Remove the discharge hose bolt (1) from the condenser.
9. Remove the discharge hose (2) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the suction hose (2) to the condenser.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the discharge hose bolt (1) to the condenser and tighten to10 Nm (89 lb in).




3. Install the discharge hose bracket bolt (1) to the engine and tighten to10 Nm (89 lb in).




4. Install the discharge hose (2) to the compressor.
5. Install the discharge hose bolt (1) to the compressor and tighten to9 Nm (80 lb in).
6. Install the front compartment lower noise shield. Refer to Front Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement (All Wheel Drive) (Front Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement)Front Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement (Rear Wheel Drive) (Front Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement)
7. Install the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement (Front Air Deflector Replacement)
8. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair)
9. Evacuate and recharge the system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging).
