Suction Hose Replacement
Suction Hose Replacement (LSA) (6.2 L)
Removal Procedure
1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging).
2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair)
3. Remove the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement (Front Air Deflector Replacement)
4. Remove the front compartment lower noise shield. Refer to Front Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement (All Wheel Drive) (Front Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement)Front Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement (Rear Wheel Drive) (Front Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement)
5. Remove the suction hose bolt at the compressor.
6. Remove the suction hose from the compressor.
7. Remove the suction hose bracket bolt from the engine.
8. Remove the suction hose bracket nut (1) from the wheelhouse panel stud.
9. Remove the suction hose from the evaporator core. Refer to Air Conditioning Line/Tube Connector Removal/Replacement (Air Conditioning Line/Tube Connector Removal/Replacement) 11
10. Remove the suction hose from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the suction hose to the evaporator core. Refer to Air Conditioning Line/Tube Connector Removal/Replacement (Air Conditioning Line/Tube Connector Removal/Replacement)
2. Install the suction hose bracket nut (1) from the wheelhouse panel stud and tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb in).
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).
3. Install the suction hose bracket bolt to the engine and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
4. Install the suction hose to the compressor.
5. Install the suction hose bolt to the compressor and tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb in).
6. Install the front compartment lower noise shield. Refer to Front Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement (All Wheel Drive) (Front Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement)Front Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement (Rear Wheel Drive) (Front Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement)
7. Install the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement (Front Air Deflector Replacement)
8. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair)
9. Evacuate and recharge the system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging).
