Oil Level Indicator Tube Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the front engine mount bracket. Refer to Engine Front Mount Bracket Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the oil level indicator.
3. Loosen the oil level indicator tube nut.
4. Remove the oil level indicator tube.

Installation Procedure




1. Lubricate the oil level indicator tube O-ring seal with clean engine oil.
2. Install the oil level indictor tube into the lower crankcase opening.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

3. Slide the indicator tube behind the tube nut. Tighten the nut.

Tighten the nut to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

4. Install the oil level indicator.
5. Install the front engine mount bracket. Refer to Engine Front Mount Bracket Replacement (Service and Repair).
