Engine Oil Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement

Tools Required

DT-47731 1/2 Inch Quick Connect Release Tool

Removal Procedure

Important: Note the routing of the engine oil cooler lines to ensure proper installation.


1. Remove the radiator assembly. Refer to Radiator Replacement (Service and Repair).




2. Remove the engine oil cooler inlet line (2) from the engine oil filter adaptor using DT-47731 .
3. Remove the engine oil cooler outlet line (1) from the engine oil filter adaptor.
4. Remove the engine oil cooler lines from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

Important: Set the oil cooler lines in the vehicle loosely before installing radiator to ensure proper routing of lines over the radiator.


1. Install the engine oil cooler lines to the vehicle.




2. Install the engine oil cooler outlet line (1) to the engine oil filter adaptor.

Important: Tug gently on the engine oil cooler lines (1, 2) at the oil filter adaptor to ensure proper retention.


3. Install the engine oil cooler inlet line (2) to the engine oil filter adaptor.
4. Install the radiator assembly. Refer to Radiator Replacement (Service and Repair).
5. Inspect the engine oil level.
