Fan Adapter Replacement (LH2 With V92) (4.6L)

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the cooling fan. Refer to Engine Coolant Fan Replacement (LH2 Heavy Duty Cooling) (Service and Repair)Engine Coolant Fan Replacement (LC3, LY7) (Service and Repair)Engine Coolant Fan Replacement (LH2 without V92, LLT) (Service and Repair).




2. Hold the cooling fan adapter from turning by placing a wrench on the adapter flat spots.
3. Remove the cooling fan adapter bolts.
4. Remove the cooling fan adapter from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the cooling fan adapter to the vehicle.
2. Hold the cooling fan adapter from turning by placing a wrench on the adapter flat spots.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

3. Install the cooling fan adapter bolts and tighten to 24 Nm (18 lb ft).




4. Install the cooling fan. Refer to Engine Coolant Fan Replacement (LH2 Heavy Duty Cooling) (Service and Repair)Engine Coolant Fan Replacement (LC3, LY7) (Service and Repair)Engine Coolant Fan Replacement (LH2 without V92, LLT) (Service and Repair).
