Vehicle Yaw Sensor with Vehicle Lateral and Longitudinal Accelerometer Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
2. Remove the RF seat. Refer to Bucket Seat Replacement (Bucket Seat Replacement).
3. Carefully lift the floor carpet at the seam.
4. Disconnect the yaw sensor with lateral and longitudinal accelerometer electrical connector.
5. Remove the yaw sensor with lateral and longitudinal accelerometer nuts (1).




6. Remove the yaw sensor with lateral and longitudinal accelerometer (1).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the yaw sensor with lateral and longitudinal accelerometer (1).





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the yaw sensor with lateral and longitudinal accelerometer nuts (1).

Tighten the nuts to 9 Nm (80 lb in).

3. Connect the yaw sensor with lateral and longitudinal accelerometer electrical connector.
4. Position the carpet to the floor.
5. Install the RF seat. Refer to Bucket Seat Replacement (Bucket Seat Replacement).
6. Install a scan tool.
7. Using the special functions menu on the scan tool, reset the yaw rate sensor.
8. Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle (Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview).
