Underhood Lamp Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Open the hood.
2. Remove the hood insulator. Refer to Hood Insulator Replacement (Service and Repair).




3. Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the underhood lamp (2) assembly.




Warning: Refer to Safety Glasses Warning (Safety Glasses Warning).

4. Drill out the rivets (1) attaching the underhood lamp (2) to the hood.
5. Remove the underhood lamp (2) from the hood.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the underhood lamp (2) to the hood.
2. Rivet (1) the underhood lamp (2) to the hood.




3. Connect the electrical connector (1) to the underhood lamp (2).
4. Inspect the underhood lamp for proper operation.
5. Install the hood insulator. Refer to Hood Insulator Replacement (Service and Repair).
6. Close the hood.
