Power Steering Gear Inlet Pipe/Hose Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise the vehicle on a hoist. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair).




2. Remove the power steering pressure hose from the power steering pump.
3. Remove the power steering pressure hose from the power steering gear.




4. Remove the power steering pressure hose from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the power steering pressure hose to the vehicle.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the power steering pressure hose to the power steering gear and tighten the fitting to 27 Nm (20 lb ft).




3. Install the power steering pressure hose to the power steering pump and tighten the fitting to 27 Nm (20 lb ft).
4. Lower the vehicle.
5. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding (Service and Repair).
