Ignition and Start Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure

Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning (Service Precautions).

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the driver knee bolster trim panel. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).
3. Remove the driver information center (DIC) switch. Refer to Driver Information Display Switch Replacement (Service and Repair).




4. Disconnect the ignition switch electrical connector.
5. Remove the ignition switch from the DIC pod.
Carefully pull to unsnap.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the ignition switch into position on the DIC pod.




2. Connect the ignition switch electrical connections.




3. Install the DIC switch pod. Refer to Driver Information Display Switch Replacement (Service and Repair).
4. Install the driver knee bolter trim panel. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

5. Connect the negative battery cable and tighten to 15 Nm (11 lb ft).
