Transmission Fluid Cooler Lower Pipe Assembly Replacement - Auxiliary Cooler to Radiator

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the wheelhouse panel. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (Service and Repair).




3. Disconnect the radiator to auxiliary transmission oil cooler (TOC) line from the auxiliary TOC. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection (Service and Repair).
4. Remove the radiator to auxiliary TOC line from the auxiliary TOC.
5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Remove the upper radiator support. Refer to Radiator Support Replacement (Service and Repair).




7. Disconnect the radiator to auxiliary TOC line from the radiator. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection (Service and Repair).
8. Remove the radiator to auxiliary TOC line from the radiator.
9. Remove the radiator to auxiliary TOC line from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the radiator to auxiliary TOC line to the vehicle.
2. Connect the radiator to auxiliary TOC line to the radiator. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection (Service and Repair).
3. Install the upper radiator support. Refer to Radiator Support Replacement (Service and Repair).
4. Raise the vehicle.
5. Install the radiator to auxiliary TOC line to the auxiliary TOC.




6. Connect the radiator to auxiliary TOC line to the auxiliary TOC. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection (Service and Repair).
7. Install the wheelhouse panel. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (Service and Repair).
8. Lower the vehicle.
9. Fill the transmission fluid. Refer to Transmission Fluid Fill Procedure (Procedures).
