Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement (LF1, LLT)

J 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers

Removal Procedure

1. Drain the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill LF1, LLT) (Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill))Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill LSA) (Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill))Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 LSA) (Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716))Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 LF1, LLT) (Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716)).
2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair).
3. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (LF1) (Service and Repair)Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (LLT) (Service and Repair).
4. Remove the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement (Service and Repair).




5. Reposition the radiator outlet hose clamp (1) at the engine coolant inlet pipe using J 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers.
6. Remove the radiator outlet hose (2) from the engine coolant inlet pipe.




7. Reposition the radiator outlet hose clamp (1) at radiator using J 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers.
8. Remove the radiator outlet hose (2) from the radiator.
9. Remove the radiator outlet hose from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the radiator outlet hose to the vehicle.





Note: Lubricate the inside diameters of the hoses with clean coolant prior to installation.

2. Reposition the radiator outlet hose clamp (1) at radiator using J 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers.
3. Install the radiator outlet hose (2) from the radiator.




4. Install the radiator outlet hose (2) from the engine coolant inlet pipe.
5. Reposition the radiator outlet hose clamp (1) at the engine coolant inlet pipe using J 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers.
6. Install the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement (Service and Repair).
7. Lower the vehicle.
8. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (LF1) (Service and Repair)Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (LLT) (Service and Repair).
9. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill LF1, LLT) (Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill))Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill LSA) (Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill))Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 LSA) (Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716))Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 LF1, LLT) (Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716)).
