Blower Motor Replacement (Left Hand Drive)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the (I/P) - right side insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement - Right Side (Left Hand Drive) (Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement - Right Side)Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement - Right Side (Right Hand Drive) (Application and ID).
2. Remove the I/P compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement (Left Hand Drive) (Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement)Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement (Right Hand Drive) (Application and ID).
3. Loosen the I/P carrier mounting bolts but do not remove, and reposition the carrier to gain clearance for blower motor removal. Refer to Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement (Left Hand Drive) (Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement)Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement (Right Hand Drive) (Application and ID).




4. Disconnect the blower motor electrical connector.




5. Remove the screws (1) that retain the blower motor.




6. Remove the blower motor.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the blower motor.





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the blower motor screws (1) and tighten to 1.5 Nm (13 lb in).




3. Connect the blower motor electrical connector.
4. Install the I/P compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement (Left Hand Drive) (Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement)Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement (Right Hand Drive) (Application and ID).
5. Install the I/P insulator - right side. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement - Right Side (Left Hand Drive) (Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement - Right Side)Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement - Right Side (Right Hand Drive) (Application and ID).
6. Install the I/P carrier mounting bolts and tighten to 25 Nm (19 lb ft). Refer to Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement (Left Hand Drive) (Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement)Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement (Right Hand Drive) (Application and ID).
