Stabilizer Shaft Replacement (FE1 and FE3)

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the stabilizer shaft link. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement (FE7) (Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement (FE7))Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement (FE1 and FE3) (Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement (FE1 and FE3)).




3. Remove the stabilizer shaft bracket bolt.
4. Bend open the end of the stabilizer shaft bracket and slide over the stabilizer shaft insulators to remove.
5. Remove the stabilizer shaft insulators.
6. Remove the stabilizer shaft.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the stabilizer shaft.
2. Install the stabilizer shaft insulators to the stabilizer shaft with the slit facing forward.
3. Bend the stabilizer shaft bracket downward to close around the stabilizer shaft insulators.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

Note: Ensure the stabilizer shaft is centered before installing the bracket bolts.

4. Install the stabilizer shaft bracket bolts.

Tighten the stabilizer shaft bracket bolts to 33 Nm (24 lb ft).

5. Install the stabilizer shaft links. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement (FE7) (Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement (FE7))Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement (FE1 and FE3) (Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement (FE1 and FE3)).
6. Lower the vehicle.
