Diagnostic Instructions
* Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle (Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle) prior to using this diagnostic procedure.
* Review Strategy Based Diagnosis (Strategy Based Diagnosis) for an overview of the diagnostic approach.
* Diagnostic Procedure Instructions (Diagnostic Procedure Instructions) provides an overview of each diagnostic category.
Circuit/System Description
The driver door module (DDM) and passenger door module (PDM) each provide motor control output functions for their respective mirrors. These output controls allow each door module to command their respective power mirrors in horizontal and vertical positions. When the door modules detect an active mirror command they will command the respective mirror motor in the appropriate direction. Each door module controls their respective mirror motors by applying a ground or voltage to the control circuit, depending on the desired mirror position.

Circuit/System Verification
1. Ignition ON, verify the park assist option is activated in the driver information center (DIC).
2. Select the driver outside mirror, shift the vehicle in REVERSE, verify that the driver outside mirror tilts.
• If the mirror doesn't tilt, replace the DDM.
3. Select the passenger outside mirror, shift the vehicle in REVERSE, verify that the passenger outside mirror tilts.
• If the mirror doesn't tilt, replace the PDM.
Repair Instructions
Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification (Verification Tests) after completing the diagnostic procedure.
