Cylinder Head Bolts

Right Sequence:

Left Sequence:

Replace bolts
First pass: M11 bolts 30 Nm (22 lb ft)
Second pass: M11 bolts Tighten an additional 150°
Third pass: M8 bolts 15 Nm (11 lb ft)
Final pass: M8 bolts Tighten an additional 75°

Deck Flatness Inspection





If the warpage is less than 0.05 mm (0.002 in), the cylinder head deck surface does not require resurfacing.
If the cylinder head deck surface requires more than 0.25 mm (0.010 in) material removal the head must be replaced.
