Air Conditioning Compressor and Condenser Hose Replacement
Air Conditioning Compressor and Condenser Hose Replacement (LSA) (6.2L)
Removal Procedure
1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging).
2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair).
3. Remove the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement (Front Air Deflector Replacement).
4. Remove the front compartment lower noise shield (if equipped). Refer to Front Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement (All Wheel Drive) (Front Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement)Front Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement (Rear Wheel Drive) (Front Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement).
5. Remove the engine coolant fan shroud. Refer to Engine Coolant Fan Shroud Replacement (LF1, LLT) (Service and Repair)Engine Coolant Fan Shroud Replacement (LSA) (Service and Repair).
6. Remove the radiator outlet hose from the thermostat housing. Refer to Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement (LF1, LLT) (Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement)Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement (LSA) (Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement).
7. Remove the heater inlet/outlet hoses from the water pump. Heater Inlet Hose/Pipe and Heater Outlet Hose/Pipe Replacement (LSA) (Heater Inlet Hose/Pipe and Heater Outlet Hose/Pipe Replacement).
8. Remove the compressor and condenser hose bolt (1) at the compressor.
9. Remove the compressor and condenser hose (2) from the compressor.
10. Remove the compressor and condenser hose bracket bolt (1) from the engine.
11. Remove the compressor and condenser hose bolt (1) from the condenser.
12. Remove the compressor and condenser hose (2) from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the compressor and condenser hose (2) to the condenser.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).
2. Install the compressor and condenser hose bolt (1) to the condenser and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
3. Install the compressor and condenser hose bracket bolt (1) to the engine and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
4. Install the compressor and condenser hose (2) to the compressor.
5. Install the compressor and condenser hose bolt (1) to the compressor and tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb in).
6. Install the heater inlet/outlet hoses to the water pump. Heater Inlet Hose/Pipe and Heater Outlet Hose/Pipe Replacement (LSA) (Heater Inlet Hose/Pipe and Heater Outlet Hose/Pipe Replacement).
7. Install the radiator outlet hose to the thermostat housing. Refer to Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement (LF1, LLT) (Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement)Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement (LSA) (Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement).
8. Install the engine coolant fan shroud. Refer to Engine Coolant Fan Shroud Replacement (LF1, LLT) (Service and Repair)Engine Coolant Fan Shroud Replacement (LSA) (Service and Repair).
9. Install the front compartment lower noise shield. Refer to Front Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement (All Wheel Drive) (Front Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement)Front Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement (Rear Wheel Drive) (Front Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement).
10. Install the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement (Front Air Deflector Replacement).
11. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair).
12. Evacuate and recharge the system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging).
