Bucket Seat Replacement
Removal Procedure
Warning: Refer to SIR Warning (SIR Warning).
1. Disable the SIR System. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling (Service and Repair).
2. Move the front seat forward in order to access the front seat track trim cover (1).
3. Remove the seat track trim cover (1) from the seat track.
4. Remove the seat track fasteners (1) from the seat track.
Note: Move seat to rear position and raise front of seat to gain access to seat electrical connectors.
5. Disconnect the seat electrical connectors (1).
6. Use an awl or equivalent to release the seat belt from the seat. The hole to insert the awl is located on the outboard side of the seat (1).
7. Remove seat belt from seat.
8. Disconnect wire harness from seat bracket.
9. With the aid of an assistant, remove the seat from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. With the aid of an assistant, install the seat into the vehicle.
2. Insert the front tabs (1) on the seat track into the floor.
3. Connect the electrical connectors (1).
4. Connect wire harness to seat bracket.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).
5. Install the seat track fasteners (1) and tighten to 30 Nm (22 lb ft).
6. Install the seat track trim covers (1).
7. Install seat belt to seat.
8. Enable the SIR System. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling (Service and Repair).
