Heater Inlet Hose Replacement (LLT, LF1)
Tools Required
J 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers
Removal Procedure
1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716) (Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716))Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) (Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill)).
2. Remove the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement (Service and Repair).
3. Remove the cowl panel retaining bolts.
4. Remove the cowl panel.
5. Using J 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers slide the clamp away from the base of the heater inlet hose.
6. Remove the inlet heater hose from the heater core.
7. Using J 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers slide the clamp away from the base of the heater inlet hose.
8. Remove the clamp and hose from the engine cooling thermostat assembly.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the inlet heater hose to the engine cooling thermostat assembly.
2. Using J 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers slide the clamp back into the original position on the hose.
3. Install the inlet heater hose to the heater core.
4. Using J 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers slide the clamp back into the original position on the hose.
5. Install the cowl panel.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).
6. Install the cowl panel retaining bolts and tighten to 6 Nm (13 lb ft)
7. Install the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement (Service and Repair).
8. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716) (Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716))Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) (Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill)).
