Heater Outlet Hose Replacement (LLT, LF1)
Tools Required
J 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers
Removal Procedure
1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716) (Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716))Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) (Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill)).
2. Remove the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement (Service and Repair).
3. Remove the cowl panel retaining bolts.
4. Remove the cowl panel.
5. Using J 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers slide the hose clamp away from the base of the heater hose.
6. Remove the outlet heater hose from the engine cooling thermostat assembly.
7. Using J 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers , slide the hose clamp away from the base of the heater hose.
8. Remove the heater outlet hose from the heater core.
9. Remove the heater outlet hose.
Installation Procedure
1. Position the outlet heater hose assembly into the vehicle.
2. Install the outlet hose to the heater core.
3. Using J 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers slide the hose clamp back into the original position on the hose.
4. Install the outlet hose to the engine cooling thermostat assembly.
5. Using J 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers slide the hose clamp back into the original position on the hose.
6. Install the cowl panel.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).
7. Install the cowl panel retaining bolts and tighten to 6 Nm (13 lb ft)
8. Install the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement (Service and Repair).
9. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716) (Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716))Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) (Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill)).
