Air Conditioning Condenser Replacement

Removal Procedure
1. Remove the charge air cooler radiator. Refer toCharge Air Cooler Radiator Replacement Charge Air Cooler Radiator Replacement.
2. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.
4. Remove the front air deflector retainers (2).
5. Remove the front air deflector bolts (1).
6. Remove the front air deflector (3).
7. Remove the condenser upper bracket bolts (1).
8. Remove the condenser lower mounting bolts (1).
9. Remove the a/c compressor and a/c condenser hose bolt (1).
10. Disconnect the a/c compressor and a/c condenser hose (2) from the condenser.
11. Remove and discard the O-ring.
12. Remove the a/c condenser out tube bolt (1).
13. Disconnect the a/c condenser out tube (2) from the condenser.
14. Remove and discard the O-ring.
15. Remove the condenser (1).
Installation Procedure
1. If replacing the condenser, add the specified amount of PAG oil directly to the condenser. Refer to Refrigerant System Specifications Specifications.
2. Install the condenser (1).
3. Install a new O-ring to the condenser tube. Refer to Air Conditioning O-Ring Seal Replacement Service and Repair.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.
4. Connect the a/c condenser out tube (2) to the condenser.
5. Install the a/c condenser out tube bolt (1) and tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb in).
6. Install a new O-ring to the discharge line. Refer to Air Conditioning O-Ring Seal Replacement Service and Repair.
7. Connect the a/c compressor and a/c condenser hose (2) to the condenser.
8. Install the a/c compressor and a/c condenser hose bolt (1) and tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb in).
9. Install the condenser lower mounting bolts (1) and tighten to 5.4 Nm (48 lb in).
10. Install the condenser upper bracket bolts (1) and tighten to 5.4 Nm (48 lb in).
11. Install the front air deflector (3).
12. Install the front air deflector bolts (1).
13. Install the front air deflector retainers (2).
14. Lower the vehicle.
15. Install the charge air cooler radiator. Refer toCharge Air Cooler Radiator Replacement Charge Air Cooler Radiator Replacement.
16. Evacuate and recharge the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
17. Leak test the fittings of the component using the J 39400-A - leak detector
