Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement (Sedan/Wagon)

Removal Procedure




1. Run the window to the full up position.
2. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Coupe) Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Coupe)Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Sedan, Wagon) Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Sedan, Wagon).
3. Remove the water deflector.
4. Tape the window in the full up position.
5. Through the access holes in the inner door panel, loosen the window clamp fasteners 4 revolutions.
6. Connect the door trim panel wiring harness.
7. Lower the window regulator 3/4 of the way down.
8. Disconnect the electrical connector from the window regulator motor.
9. Remove the window regulator fasteners (1, 2, 3, 4, 5).
10. Remove the window regulator from the door.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the window regulator into the door.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

2. Install the window regulator fasteners (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) and tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb in).
3. Remove the tape from the window.
4. Lower the window into the window regulator clamps.
The glass must be fully rearward into the window channel when it is seated in the window clamps.
5. Connect the power window motor electrical connector.

Note: Start the vehicle to ensure maximum power to the window motor. This is required to fully seat the window for adjustment.

6. Start the vehicle.
7. Raise the window to the full up position. Tighten the window clamp Fasteners to 11 Nm (98 lb in).
8. Check window for proper operation and a tight seal before installing the trim panel.
9. Shut off the vehicle.
10. Install the water deflector.
11. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Coupe) Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Coupe)Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Sedan, Wagon) Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Sedan, Wagon).
