J 47622 - Hose Clamp Pliers

Removal Procedure

1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill LFW or LFX) Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill)Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill LSA) Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill)Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 LFW or LFX) Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716)Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 LSA) Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716).

2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.

3. Remove the front compartment lower noise shield (if equipped). Refer to Front Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement (All Wheel Drive) Service and RepairFront Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement (Rear Wheel Drive) Service and Repair.

4. Remove manifold cover.

5. Remove vehicle cross brace. Refer to Cross Vehicle Brace Replacement Service and Repair.

6. Remove charge air cooler pipe assembly. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Coolant Pipe Replacement Charge Air Cooler Coolant Pipe Replacement.

7. Remove charge air coolant reservoir. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Coolant Reservoir Replacement Charge Air Cooler Coolant Reservoir Replacement.





8. Reposition the heater hose clamps (1) at the engine using J 47622 - Hose Clamp Pliers.

9. Remove the heater hoses (2) from the engine.





10. Reposition the surge tank outlet hose clamp (1) at the heater hose using J 47622 - Hose Clamp Pliers.

11. Remove the surge tank outlet hose (2) from the heater hose.





12. Reposition the heater hose clamps (1) at the heater core using J 47622 - Hose Clamp Pliers.

13. Remove the heater hoses (2) from the heater core.





14. Remove heater pipe harness retainer brace and reposition harness.

15. Remove the heater hose nuts (1).

16. Remove the heater hoses (2) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the heater hoses (2) to the vehicle.

Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

2. Install the heater hose nuts (1) and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

3. Install heater pipe harness retainer brace and reposition harness.





4. Install the heater hoses (2) from the heater core.

5. Reposition the heater hose clamps (1) at the heater core using J 47622 - Hose Clamp Pliers.





6. Install the surge tank outlet hose (2) from the heater hose.

7. Reposition the surge tank outlet hose clamp (1) at the heater hose using J 47622 - Hose Clamp Pliers.





8. Install the heater hoses (2) to the engine.

9. Reposition the heater hose clamps (1) at the engine using J 47622 - Hose Clamp Pliers.

10. Install charge air coolant reservoir. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Coolant Reservoir Replacement Charge Air Cooler Coolant Reservoir Replacement.

11. Install charge air cooler pipe assembly. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Coolant Pipe Replacement Charge Air Cooler Coolant Pipe Replacement.

12. Install vehicle cross brace. Refer to Cross Vehicle Brace Replacement Service and Repair.

13. Install manifold cover.

14. Install the front compartment lower noise shield (if equipped). Refer to Front Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement (All Wheel Drive) Service and RepairFront Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement (Rear Wheel Drive) Service and Repair.

15. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.

16. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill LFW or LFX) Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill)Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill LSA) Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill)Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 LFW or LFX) Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716)Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 LSA) Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716).
