Rear Suspension Support Bushing Replacement

DT-50806 Bushing Remove and Install Kit

Removal Procedure
1.Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to.
2.Remove the tires and wheels. Refer to.
3.Remove the rear suspension support. Refer to.
4.With the aide of an assistant, position the rear suspension support on a suitable work bench.
5.Note the position of the rear suspension support bushing before removing it.
6.Using an 8 mm drill bit and a drill motor, drill multiple holes (1) in the rear suspension bushing.
7.Using the appropriate tool, remove the inner part of the rear suspension support bushing (1) from the rear suspension support (2).
8.Using the appropriate tool, cut two slots on either side of the rear suspension support bushing (2).
9.Collapse the bushing (2) and remove it from the rear suspension support (1).
Installation Procedure
1.Position the rear suspension support bushing (1) in the rear suspension support (2).
Note:Apply a small amount of silicone grease on the bushing prior to installing.
2.Using the
DT-50806 kit (1), (2), and (3), install the rear suspension support bushing.
3.With the aid of an assistant, position the rear support onto the transmission jack and firmly secure the support to the jack with straps.
4.Install the rear suspension support. Refer to.
5.Install the tires and wheels. Refer to.
6.Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
7.Check the rear alignment. Refer to.
