Air Conditioning Compressor Hose Replacement (LFX without V4U)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front compartment front sight shield. Refer to Front Compartment Front Sight Shield Replacement

2. Recover the refrigerant from the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (R-1234yf) Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (R-1234yf)Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (R-134a) Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (R-134a).

3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement Service and Repair.

4. Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement Service and Repair.




5. Remove the air conditioning compressor hose bolt (1) at the compressor.

6. Remove the air conditioning compressor hose (2) from the compressor.

7. Remove and discard the sealing washers (3).




8. Remove the air conditioning compressor hose nut (1) at the air conditioning evaporator hose.

9. Remove the air conditioning compressor hose (2) from air conditioning evaporator hose joint.

10. Remove and discard the sealing washer (3).




11. Remove the air conditioning compressor hose nut (1) at the condenser.

12. Remove the air conditioning compressor hose (2) from the condenser.

13. Remove and discard the sealing washer (3).

14. Remove the air conditioning compressor hose (2) from vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install NEW sealing washers (3) to the air conditioning compressor hose. Refer to Air Conditioning System Seal Replacement Air Conditioning System Seal Replacement.

2. Install the air conditioning compressor hose (2) to the condenser.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

3. Install the air conditioning compressor hose nut (1) at the condenser and tighten to 22 Nm (16 lb ft).




4. Install the air conditioning compressor hose (2) to the air conditioning evaporator hose.

5. Install the air conditioning compressor hose nut (1) to air conditioning evaporator hose and tighten to 22 Nm (16 lb ft).




6. Install the air conditioning compressor hose (2) to the compressor.

7. Install the air conditioning compressor hose bolt (1) at compressor and tighten to 22 Nm (16 lb ft).

8. Install the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement Service and Repair.

9. Lower the vehicle.

10. Evacuate and charge the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (R-1234yf) Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (R-1234yf)Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (R-134a) Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (R-134a)

11. Install the front compartment front sight shield. Refer to Front Compartment Front Sight Shield Replacement
