Assembly

1. Install lower valve body on upper valve body with plate.
2. Position new gaskets and plate on lower valve body, ensuring gasket with larger cooler bypass valve hole is assembled to lower valve body. Place new gasket and plate onto lower valve body, then new gasket onto plate and align bolt holes.
3. Place lower valve body and gasket with plate onto top of upper valve body. Manually retain lower valve body, gaskets and plate securely as not to allow them to separate, then align bolt holes in valve bodies, gaskets and plate.
4. Install and finger tighten three attaching bolts into lower valve body, then invert valve body assembly and insert and finger tighten three attaching bolts into upper valve body. Install upper valve body cover, new gaskets and strainer.
5. Install valve body cover, then insert and finger tighten nine attaching bolts.
6. Invert valve body assembly, then install new gasket and lower valve body cover.
7. Insert and finger tighten 14 valve body cover attaching bolts.
8. Ensure proper alignment of gaskets, then torque upper and lower valve body attaching bolts to 48 inch lbs. Invert assembly, then torque upper valve body bolts to 48 inch lbs.
