Brake Pad: Service and Repair
Replace brake pads on one wheel at a time to prevent opposite side caliper piston from being forced out of bore.

REMOVAL
1. Remove caliper as outlined, leaving brake hose connected, and secure caliper aside.
2. Remove 2 anti-rattle clips, then the brake brake pads, Fig. 3.
3. Remove pad wear indicator plates and anti-squeal shims.
4. Remove support plates.

INSTALLATION
1. Install new support plates on caliper mounting bracket, Fig. 2.

2. Install new wear indicators and anti-squeal shims on each pad, Fig. 3, then position pads in caliper mounting bracket. Ensure that arrow on wear indicator is pointing in rotating direction of rotor.
3. Install anti-rattle springs.
4. Seat piston in caliper bore, then install caliper and mounting bolts, and torque bolts to 18. ft lbs.
5. Refill master cylinder and bleed brakes as needed.
