PRODUCT EMISSION CAMPAIGN 95-C-30 - EMISSION LABEL ERROR
Model and Year:
1995 CHEVROLET CAVALIER
To: All Chevrolet/Geo Dealers
General Motors has decided that some 1995 Chevrolet Cavaliers equipped with 2.2L engines, manual transaxies and California emissions (NB2) were built with an incorrect emission label. The emissions label incorrectly identifies the vehicle as being a TLEV certified vehicle. These vehicles are certified to comply with Tier 1 emission standards, and do not comply with TLEV emission standards
A new emission label needs to be installed on the passenger side strut tower.
Since a new label can be easily installed, and to reduce owner inconvenience, the label will be sent with instructions directly to owners of record. Owners may install the label on the passenger side strut tower. However, if they desire, they may bring the label to their servicing Chevrolet dealer for installation at no charge.
VEHICLES INVOLVED
Involved are some 1995 Chevrolet Cavaliers equipped with 2.2L engines, manual transaxles and California emissions (NB2) that were built within the VIN breakpoints.
Involved vehicles have been identified by vehicle Identification Number Computer Listings. Computer listings contain the complete Vehicle Identification Number, owner name and address data, and are furnished to involved dealers with the campaign bulletin. Owner name and address data furnished will enable dealers to follow-up with owners involved in this campaign.
These listings may contain owner names and addresses contained from State Motor Vehicle Registration Records. The use of such motor vehicle registration data for any other purpose is a violation of law in several states. Accordingly, you are urged to limit the use of this listing to the follow-up necessary to complete this campaign. Any dealer not receiving a computer listing with the campaign bulletin has no involved vehicles currently assigned.
