Vacuum Regulator Valve: Service and Repair

Fig.18 Pump Pressure Regulator Valve Assembly:

REPLACE
1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove transmission oil pan and gasket.
3. Compress pressure regulator valve with a small screwdriver, Fig. 18.
4. Remove retaining ring and slowly release spring tension.
5. Remove pressure regulator bore plug, valve, spring and guide.
6. Reverse procedure to install.
