MAP Sensor Replacement Procedure

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the appearance cover.

2. Disconnect the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor electrical connector.

3. Remove the Hold down bolts.

4. Remove the MAP sensor from the intake manifold.


Installation Procedure

1. Install the New MAP sensor seal, lightly coated with clean engine oil.

2. Install the MAP sensor to the intake manifold.

3. Install the Hold down bolts. Tighten the MAP sensor bolts to 6 Nm (50 lb in).

4. Connect the MAP sensor electrical connector.

5. Install the Appearance cover.
