Compressor & Condenser Hose Assembly
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery.
2. Discharge the air conditioning system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery.
3. Remove the compressor hose bolt from the compressor.
4. Disconnect the compressor hose from the condenser.
5. Remove the compressor hose bolt from the accumulator.
6. Remove the compressor hose from the vehicle.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the compressor hose into the vehicle.
2. Install the compressor hose bolt to the accumulator.
3. Install the compressor hose bolt to the compressor.
4. Connect the compressor hose to the condenser.
- Tighten the compressor hose bolt to the accumulator to 20 N.m (15 lb. ft).
- Tighten the compressor hose bolt to the compressor to 26 N.m (19 lb. ft).
- Tighten the compressor hose to the condenser to 24 N.m (17 lb. ft).
NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
5. Evacuate and charge air conditioning system. Refer to Evacuation and A/C Charging Using ACR4.
CAUTION: Negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.
