Off-on-R/A Switch
Turn Signal Lever:
Off-On-R/A Switch
The OFF-ON-R/A switch has three positions. The first two switch positions turn the cruise control system ON and OFF. The third switch position has three main functions:
^ RESUME: When the OFF-ON-R/A switch is held in the R/A (resume/accelerate) position momentarily, the system will enter the resume mode. The cruise control operation will then return the the last cruise speed setting. The vehicle's speed must exceed 40 km/h (25 mph) at the time of activation.
^ ACCELERATE: When the OFF-ON-R/A switch is held in the R/A (resume/acceleration) position for more than 1 second, the system will enter the accelerate mode. To increase cruise speed. The vehicle must be traveling at least 40 km/h (25 mph) and the OFF-ON-R/A switch held in the R/A position until the vehicle reaches the desired cruise speed. When the OFF-ON-R/A switch is released to the ON position, the system will maintain the new cruise speed.
^ TAP-UP: Tap-up is a function in which cruise speed can be increased by 2 km/h (1 mph) increments (one tap = 2 km/h (1 mph) increase). To do this, the cruise must be engaged and operating. Cruise Tap-up is accomplished by pressing the OFF-ON R/A switch towards the R/A position and quickly releasing it, or tapping the lever. Do not hold the lever in the R/A position or the system will go into the Accelerate mode.
