Mode Valve Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the instrument panel pad.
3. Remove the air distribution duct.
4. Remove the valve housing cover from the module.
5. Remove the mode valve actuator link from the mode valve.
6. Remove the mode valve from the module.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the mode valve to the module.
2. Install the mode valve actuator link to the mode valve.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the valve housing cover.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 1 N.m (9 lb in).

4. Install the air duct.
5. Install the instrument panel.
6. Connect the negative battery cable.

Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).
