Front Door Window Regulator: Service and Repair

Coupe and sedan front doors use a cross arm regulator.

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the trim panel.
2. Remove the energy absorber pad (coupe only).
3. Remove the water deflector.
4. Remove the window.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector, if equipped.
6. Remove the window regulator bolts (2) (power windows).




7. Remove the window regulator bolts (3) (manual windows).
8. Remove the window regulator cam nut.
9. Remove the rivets (2).
10. Remove the window regulator cam bolt.
11. Remove the regulator (1).

Installation Procedure




1. Position the regulator (4) by inserting the bottom through the access opening.
2. Rotate the top through the opening while lowering the regulator in order to clear the top of the access opening.
3. Align the holes in the door inner panel.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Install the door window regulator bolts (2).

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

5. Install the upper left rivet.
6. Install the lower right rivet.
7. Install the door window regulator cam bolt.

Tighten
Tighten the nut to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

8. Connect the electrical connector, if equipped.
9. Install the window.
10. Install the water deflector.
11. Install the energy absorber pad (coupe only).
12. Install the trim panel.
