Fluid Transfer Tube: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure
1. Raise the vehicle. Support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the oil pan, filter, and the seal. Refer to Automatic Transmission Fluid/Filter Changing.





3. Remove the reverse oil pipe.





4. Remove the back-up ring seal.
5. Remove the reverse pipe to case O-ring.





6. Remove the low and reverse cup plug assembly. Use the screw extractor.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the low and reverse cup plug assembly.





2. Install the reverse pipe to case O-ring.
3. Install the new back up ring seal.





4. Install the reverse oil pipe.
5. Install the oil pan filter and the seal. Refer to Vehicle Speed Sensor Replacement.
6. Install the oil pan and the gasket.
7. Lower the vehicle.
8. Inspect the transmission oil level.
