Battery Replacement

BATTERY REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Lift up the rear carpet enough to access the battery.




2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution.

3. Disconnect the positive battery cable.




4. Remove the battery hold down retainer nuts and retainer.
5. Remove the battery.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the battery.
2. Install the battery hold down retainer and bolts.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice.

Tighten the battery hold down retainer bolt to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).




3. Connect the positive battery cable.

Tighten the positive battery cable bolt to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).

4. Connect the negative battery cable.
5. Reposition the carpet.
