Rear Compartment Lift Window Latch Bracket Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Open the rear compartment lift window.




2. Remove the rear floor side stowage compartment cover.
3. Remove the rear/end carpet trim panel.



4. Disconnect the electrical harness.
Remove the tail lamps for access to latch bracket nuts.
5. Remove the nuts attaching the latch bracket.
6. Remove the latch bracket with latch.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the latch with bracket to the rear body panel.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

2. Install the nuts attaching the latch bracket.

Tighten the latch bracket mounting nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

3. Connect the electrical harness.




4. Install the rear/end carpet trim panel.
5. Install the rear floor side stowage compartment cover.
6. Install the tail lamps.

Tighten the tail lamp mounting screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
