Oil Level Sensor: Service and Repair

Engine Oil Level Sensor and/or Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Drain the engine of oil.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector (3).




4. Remove the engine oil lever sensor.

Installation Procedure





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

1. Install the drain plug.

Tighten the drain plug to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

2. Install the engine oil level sensor.

Tighten the engine oil level sensor to 35 N.m (26 lb ft).




3. Reconnect the electrical connector (3).
4. Lower the vehicle.
5. Refill the engine. Refer to Capacities - Approximate Fluid.
