Removal of Radio Fuse Before Attempting to Program/Reprogram Modules Using Service Program System (SPS)

2005-2007 Chevrolet Corvette, Uplander
2005-2007 Pontiac Montana SV6
2005-2007 Saturn Relay
with CD Player or Changer AM/FM with MP3 Player (RPO US8 or US9)
Supercede:
This bulletin is being revised to add the 2006 and 2007 models years. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 04-08-44-024 (Section 08 - Body and Accessories).
Failure to remove the radio fuse prior to programming/reprogramming any module using the SPS service procedure may result in an inoperative radio.
DO NOT remove the radio fuse when programming/reprogramming the radio.
The radio may interrupt Class-2 programming and/or reprogramming of other modules on the buss.
Prior to programming/reprogramming any module using the SPS service procedure, the technician is required to remove the radio fuse.
2005-2007 Corvette
Remove the Radio/S-Band/VICS 15-amp fuse from the I/P electrical center (passenger side) prior to SPS reprogramming.
Program/Reprogram the appropriate module that requires service.
Reinstall the radio fuse.
Remove the RADIO AMPLIFIER 20-amp fuse (fuse # 4) in the I/P fuse block prior to SPS reprogramming. Program/Reprogram the appropriate module that requires service.
Reinstall the radio fuse.
