Clutch Pedal Position Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure





Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the clutch pedal position switch (clutch start switch) electrical connector.




3. Insert a feeler gage between the switch and the clutch pedal bracket to release the switch tab.
4. Remove the switch.
Lift the switch slightly then pull to remove.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the clutch pedal position switch (clutch start switch) to the clutch pedal bracket.
Insert the switch locators into the top of the slots, then slide down to lock.




2. Connect the switch electrical connector.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Connect the negative battery cable.

Tighten the negative battery cable bolt to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).

4. Program the transmitters. Refer to Transmitter Programming (Domestic and Japan) Transmitter Programming (Export - Including Canada) in Keyless Entry.
