Crankshaft Position Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the starter motor. Refer to (L61) Starter Motor Replacement (LZ4) Starter Motor Replacement (LZ9).
2. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (2) from the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor.




3. Remove the CKP sensor bolt.
4. Remove the CKP sensor.

Installation Procedure




1. Lubricate the NEW CKP sensor O-ring seal with clean engine oil.
2. Install the CKP sensor.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

3. Install the CKP sensor bolt.

Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).




4. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (2) to the CKP sensor.
5. Install the starter motor.
